Moving out, moving abroad and moving in.

I've been living in Charleston, SC for 27 days now, I moved in with my fiancé who is from here and I moved all the way from Guatemala, it's been a new experience for me.

Nothing prepares you for leaving your family and your friends and moving to a different culture where you barely know anyone, I'm excited for the future but still adapting.

3 big changes are happening in my life and it's exciting but scary and overwhelming though it takes patience and time to get adjusted to such a big change. I'm hopeful though that I'll get used to it sooner than later and will meet people in my new home.

I had this blog and stopped posting cause I didn't want it to become a chore and also have been very busy the past couple of years but now I have more time, I work freelance but I still have some time and my friend Keren advised me to post something cause she is moving too and thought it would be interesting to read about it.

I will give you an apartment tour.

What I usually do here is my fiancé leaves early for work so I get up after he leaves and make myself some coffee, my friend Sydney that lives close by gave me this Keurig coffee maker and I love it, I love coffee and this was perfect for me.

She also gave me this kitty cup as a present.

After I have coffee and something to eat I sit on the kitchen table cause we don't have desks yet, and start working and listening to music.

We also just bought a new microwave, you really don't know how much you use it until you don't have one.

We have this wooden Jesus I bought back home in Antigua, we thought it would be cool to bring some color to our apartment by bringing some stuff from the markets in Antigua.

One of the things we've purchased is this shoe thing for the entrance.

We also got this futon that is super comfortable, the table and the rug are from IKEA

I also bought this mask and the napkin holder in Antigua.

One of the few things I've bought here are these marble coasters that I love.

We put our two flags on the wall.

This is me and the bathroom.

And the walking closet, I wish I could've brought all my stuff but the essentials are working for now.

I love this apartment and one of the exciting things about moving is getting everything to look the way you want it too.

Currently listening to
